One of the standout dishes here is the Laksa Yong Tau Foo, a fusion of two popular Singaporean favorites. The combination of savory, spicy laksa broth and the signature stuffed tofu and vegetables creates a mouth-watering experience that is a must-try. The richness of the soup paired with the fresh, tender ingredients makes for a satisfying meal that will leave you craving more.

If you're in the mood for something a bit lighter, the 109 Teochew Yong Tau Foo in Clear Soup is another excellent choice. The clear, aromatic broth offers a delicate balance that perfectly complements the chewy and flavorful stuffed tofu, fish balls, and vegetables. It’s a great option for those seeking something flavorful yet not too heavy.

Another thing that makes 109 Yong Tau Foo stand out is its Sweet Sauce. This thick, savory-sweet sauce pairs perfectly with the Yong Tau Foo, enhancing the flavors of the dish with its smooth texture and rich taste. The restaurant’s onsite services make it a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious meal without fuss. The atmosphere is welcoming, and it’s ideal for families or groups, with plenty of space to accommodate everyone. It’s also good for kids, with a variety of options on the menu that will satisfy younger diners. However, be prepared for a wait, as the restaurant is often busy, especially during lunchtime. But the wait is definitely worth it, as the quality and taste of the food more than make up for any delays.

Whether you're a regular visitor or a first-timer, 109 Yong Tau Foo offers an authentic taste of Singaporean comfort food that’s hard to beat.

What customers say?

“ I’m not usually a fan of Yong Tau Foo, but I would actually come here just for their YTF. The service is superb, very fast and efficient, even during the lunch rush. There’s a good variety of choices and the prices are affordable, considering their location. I really like their soup too, both the original and laksa ”

- Ferng Ling Ang -

“ The food here is not outstanding but still attracts long queues during lunch hour. That’s because it is authentic local food. Though I find that it is too expensive for what it is, noodle / rice + 7 tofu items, bean curds and veg. The broth is too salty for my taste, it’s like seawater. On a separate note, the atmosphere of this area and Circular road is very nice and Singapore should built more streets like this. ”

“ Great tasting YTF especially the soup. Slightly on the salty side though. Not a whole lot of options to choose from on a weekend visit. Overall it's located centrally and easily accessible as an alternative to their Jewel stall located in the airport. ”

- HJ Arron -

“ Comfort food with a variety of ingredients, soup choices and noodle choices. However, the guy who works here seems to be having a bad day everyday. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ”

- Dai Wen Sim -

“ Each pieces cost $0.90. I picked 9 pieces and went with dry. One of the best fried ytf around. Gravy is tasty but i would say borderline too salty. Same goes for the soup mild peppery heavily savory to a slightly salty extend. Otherwise I don't think is expensive if you compare to mala. Vege and shroom wise they are really over charging definitely could have given more for 90cent. But it is what it is, definitely a good fix if you are around and there are no queue post lunch hours. ”

“ This review is for Yong Tau Foo in Jewel. Totally amazing. The soup...once you had a spoon you cannot stop. The noodles, fish balls, stuffed chili were all out of this world good. Reasonable price. Must try. ”

- Wilko Jack -

“ Affordable lunch option in the CBD area. They have fried option for the items and also a wide selection of soup base. Be ready to queue during lunch crowd ”

- Elizabeth Chua -

“ A decent bowl of dry yong tau foo with addictive flavourful gravy. I recommend that you try their dry version as the sauce is unique and not commonly found in other stalls. Mine 6 pieces to order and there’s lots of ingredient variety one can choose from while you move along the long queue. If you are nearby and want to avoid the long queue, I suggest to come at the golden period of 11.00-11.45am to beat the office lunch crowd. Nevertheless, their work rate is high and the queue moves quite fast. It may be hard to get a seat if you come after 12pm during lunch hour. ”
